1. Agreement
By creating an account, taking a diagnostic, purchasing Pro, or otherwise using Gate AI, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Gate AI is an independent practice product. GATE is conducted by the IITs and related organizing institutes. We are not affiliated with the official GATE examination authorities.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your account. We may suspend or close accounts used in ways that harm the service or other users (for example, abuse, scraping, or attempts to circumvent plan limits).
3. Free plan
The Free plan includes one 20-minute mock test and a basic score / topic breakdown. Free access may change over time (for example, question pools or report depth), but we will not charge you for Free features without a clear Pro upgrade.
4. Pro plan
Pro is a one-time digital unlock for deeper practice. It unlocks the Pro benefits described on our Pro page and above — including 10 full-length GATE-style tests, deeper insights, and a weakness-targeted prep plan — for lifetime access during the prep season as we define it in product copy at purchase time.
Pro is a digital product. Access is tied to your Gate AI account. Features may evolve (new mocks, improved reports, UI changes) as we improve the product; Pro does not freeze a specific list of questions forever.
5. Pricing, payments, and refunds
All prices for Gate AI, including Pro, are denominated in Indian Rupees (INR). The amount you pay is the price shown at checkout when you complete the purchase — not a fixed list price in these Terms. Marketing pages may show an indicative amount; the checkout total is what applies.
Pricing is subject to change. Coupons, promotional codes, seasonal offers, or other discounts may change the amount due for a given purchase. A coupon that works for one checkout may not apply later, and we may withdraw or change offers at any time.
When you buy Pro, payment unlocks digital access on your account right away — mocks, insights, and planning tools you can start using immediately. Because that access is delivered instantly and cannot be “returned” the way a physical book can, Pro purchases are not refundable once payment succeeds and Pro is activated on your account. We try to make the Free vs Pro difference clear before you pay, so you can decide with a full picture of what you are unlocking. If a payment was charged but Pro did not activate, or you believe there was a billing error, contact us at the address in the Refund & Cancellation Policy and we will help sort out delivery or payment issues.
Nothing in this section is meant to take away rights that mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction may give you.
6. AI processing
Parts of Gate AI are assisted by artificial intelligence. That includes diagnostic narratives, topic priority suggestions, prep plan guidance, and similar feedback built from your attempt data (answers, timing, confidence signals, and related performance metrics).
To generate that feedback, we may send relevant attempt and performance data to AI systems we operate or contract. Those systems process the data to produce personalized output for you. AI-generated content can be incomplete, imprecise, or wrong. Treat it as study guidance — not as official GATE counseling, a guaranteed rank, or a substitute for your own judgment and syllabus work.
You agree that we may use your exam and learning data in this way to provide the product features you request. How we handle personal data more broadly is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
Use Gate AI for your own GATE CS preparation. You may not copy, redistribute, or publicly post our question bank, reports, or proprietary materials without permission, or create derivative databases or train machine learning models using the site's content. You may not use bots, scrapers, or other automation except where we permit it, or attempt to access or use other users' accounts. You may not conduct security testing, probing, or penetration testing without our permission, use the service commercially, or resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer access to it. Do not share your account or let anyone else use your login. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, overload, or disrupt the service, or bypass Free / Pro access limits, and you may not use the service for unlawful activity or to harass others.
8. Scraping
We do not allow scraping of content that is behind login or otherwise not public. Using bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means to collect, extract, or reproduce such content — including our question bank, reports, or other data — without our prior written permission is prohibited. This includes bulk downloading questions or answers and automated collection of content to build datasets or competing services. Publicly available information that is not behind login may be accessed by ordinary means, subject to these Terms, any published usage restrictions, and any applicable robots.txt or technical access controls. Violations may result in suspension or termination of access.
9. Right to deny or withdraw service
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, limit, or terminate access to Gate AI — including Free features, Pro access, accounts, or any part of the service — at our discretion, without intimation or prior notice. That may include situations involving abuse, fraud, policy violations, risk to the platform, or other reasons we consider necessary to protect the product and its users.
10. Scores, ranks, and results
Scores, topic maps, estimated rank bands, and study plans are practice tools and best-effort estimates. They are not official GATE results and are not guarantees of any rank, admission, or outcome in the real examination.
11. Intellectual property
Gate AI’s software, branding, question formats, report layouts, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. Your answers and the personal content you submit remain yours; you grant us a license to host and process them as needed to run the service, including AI-assisted feedback described above.
12. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable uptime but do not promise uninterrupted access. We may update features, plans, pricing for new purchases, coupons and offers, or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms. A price or coupon change for new checkouts does not by itself undo a Pro unlock you already paid for, except where we deny, suspend, or change the service under these Terms (including Section 8) or must do so for legal or security reasons.
13. Disclaimers
Gate AI is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties that the service will be error-free, that AI feedback will be accurate, or that practice performance will match your official GATE result.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gate AI and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service (including reliance on scores, AI feedback, or prep plans). Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you actually paid us in Indian Rupees for Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you have not paid.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you as a consumer.
